This September and October seem like a whirl wind, and it is hard to believe it is already the end of November. That being said, God has been doing amazing things in our preparation to become full time missionaries. He has also answered many prayers in the past two months and continues to strengthen our faith. First Ryan's father, Garry, had surgery to remove his bladder in order to rid him of the cancer he was diagnosed with. It was a very invasive surgery and many prayers were prayed. We specifically prayed that God would use this surgery and cancer to bring members of the family to Christ and deepen our relationship with Him as well. Through times of uncertainty our family has become even closer, praying for one another, and encouraging each other to be in God's word to find strength. We saw God moving in our family every step of the way. And praise be to God that the surgery last month went better than even the doctors expected! Ryan's father was out of surgery faster than expected, recovered faster than expected, and glory to God, the cancer was all contained in the bladder! Instantly, after surgery when Garry heard the news he praised God and knew it was the result of answered prayers. It was a true testament to praying in God's will and seeing his faithfulness. 1 John 5:14 "This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." It was not just because we had faith in God that he would heal Garry, but because we saw God's hand on the entire situation and as an opportunity for His glory to be shown that prayers were answered and lives restored. Those answered prayers have reminded us of the power of our great God, and how he is always in control. It has been another opportunity to share the good news with family and friends, and be reminded that it is not because of our own works but of Jesus Christ that we are saved and given new life. He is the one who prepares the way, who sets our paths straight, and who gives us strength in our weakness. We praise Him every day for all that He has given us and the places He will lead us. We continue to be blessed with the response of family and friends who are excited for our journey to Honduras. This month we have sent support letters out to family and friends as almost our grand announcement that we will be moving and God continues to place divine appointments in our lives to remind us of his faithfulness along the way. We are not alone. There have continued to be people who have stepped forward to shepherd us or are willing to partner with us, and we know it is no coincidence that God has placed these people on our path. It is so encouraging and such a great confirmation that we are faithfully fulfilling Gods plan for our lives. We are so thankful and blessed for everyone who continues to support, partner, stay in touch or just follow us by reading these newsletters. We pray that by our obedience to God's plans that you may grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and that those who do not know Christ will begin a relationship with him.
